5-inch touchscreen | 2nd generation user interface – Operating the P2S feels intuitive thanks to the 5-inch touchscreen, much like using a smartphone. A powerful processor drives the new second-generation user interface. The result is smoother operations, more detailed graphics and clearer instructions.
PMSM servo architecture | DynaSense extruder – With 70% more extrusion force than the previous model (up to 8.5 kg), the PMSM servo extruder ensures significantly more stable extrusion, even at high flow rates. The special servo architecture monitors resistance and position at 20 kHz to immediately detect filament wear or blockages.
Active Flow Compensation | Eddy Current Pressure Sensor – To achieve consistently smooth surfaces, a high-resolution eddy current sensor calibrates the flow dynamics. Intelligent algorithms analyse these measurements and actively adjust the flow rate. This ensures precise and consistent extrusion across every layer and in every corner.
Cold air intake | Cooling mode – Conventional cooling systems often merely recirculate the hot air. The P2S’s adaptive airflow system, however, draws cool air directly from outside. This significantly boosts cooling performance and enables the printing of filaments with low melting temperatures with the door closed, without compromising the quality of overhangs or causing the nozzle to clog.
Heat retention | Carbon filter – The P2S reaches a chamber temperature of 50°C, ideal for engineering filaments. A flap-controlled system efficiently retains heat inside, whilst a powerful carbon filter actively purifies the recirculated air. This allows you to safely process materials prone to warping whilst maintaining clean air quality in the workplace.
AI error detection | 2 TOPS NPU – Thanks to advanced AI-powered image recognition, the P2S monitors the printing process. It automatically detects typical printing errors such as "spaghetti monsters" or nozzle clumps (blobs). In addition, the system checks the start-up settings to ensure a safe and correct start to every print job.
Quick-change hotend | 1-clip design – Nozzle changes take around 30 seconds. The quick-change hotend uses a simple clip mechanism that releases the entire unit comprising the nozzle and heat sink. There is no need to disconnect any cables. This drastically reduces changeover time and eliminates the risk of cabling errors.
AMS 2 Pro – The AMS 2 Pro combines multi-colour printing with effective filament drying. An active ventilation system dries the material 30% faster than closed heating systems by automatically removing moisture. This ensures low humidity for storage and significantly improves print quality.
