Bambu PLA Tough+ is a specially developed filament that combines the ease of use of conventional PLA with exceptional mechanical strength comparable to that of ABS. If your projects need to be more than just visually appealing and require high resistance to impacts, drops and repeated bending, PLA Tough+ is the ideal choice. It bridges the gap between standard PLA and engineering materials, enabling the production of durable, functional components without the difficulties often associated with printing ABS.

Key features:
Superior impact resistance: With an impact strength almost three times that of Bambu PLA Basic, this filament is built to withstand a lot. It is the perfect solution for parts exposed to knocks and rough handling, such as in remote-controlled cars, drone frames or robust tools and fixtures.
Twice the layer adhesion: One of the biggest advantages of PLA Tough+ is its significantly improved layer adhesion. The bond between individual print layers is up to twice as strong as with standard PLA. The result is extremely robust and durable prints that do not break easily along the layer lines.
Flexibility and flexural strength: Whilst standard PLA tends to be brittle, PLA Tough+ can withstand repeated bending without breaking. This makes it ideal for applications requiring a degree of flexibility, such as snap fasteners, clips, hinges or spring elements.
Durability for demanding applications: Thanks to its improved durability and resilience, PLA Tough+ maintains its performance over time. It is therefore also suitable for demanding, tool-compatible applications where reliability and durability are crucial.
RFID for smart printing: As with all Bambu Lab filaments, all printing parameters are stored on an RFID chip on the spool. The AMS (Automatic Material System) automatically reads this data and sets the optimal print settings, simplifying the process and minimising errors.
