The Shining 3D EINSTAR 2 is a compact, portable 3D scanner with a hybrid light source that combines detailed scans and flexible applications in a single device. It combines 17 parallel blue laser lines (Laser HD) for precise detail capture with IR VCSEL (IR Rapid) for large-area, eye-safe scanning – ideal for different object sizes and materials.

Thanks to true wireless scanning with an integrated, replaceable battery (up to three hours) and a Wi-Fi module, the EINSTAR 2 can be used anywhere. For maximum stability, a USB Type-C cable connection is also available in case of Wi-Fi interference.

The EINSTAR 2 is suitable for users who require high-quality mobile 3D scanning. In the studio, in the workshop or on the go. The Laser HD mode allows small to medium-sized objects to be digitised in great detail, whilst the IR Rapid mode conveniently enables large objects or full-body scans (IR is eye-safe).

In reverse engineering, prototyping and product design, the EINSTAR 2 supports the rapid capture of real-world objects for further processing in CAD or 3D workflows. For art, culture and AR and VR content, full-colour capture is particularly useful, as the integrated RGB camera captures realistic colour textures.

The scanner also demonstrates its strengths outdoors: it is designed for dynamic lighting and, depending on the mode, can operate reliably at up to 110,000 lux (Laser HD) or 70,000 lux (IR Rapid).
