With AMS, the printing process is no longer interrupted by a manual spool change when the filament runs out. This means there is no filament waste. With AMS, there is a seamless transition to a new spool, ensuring continuous printing and effectively reducing material waste.
Thanks to automatic spool changes with AMS, your printing process never stops. The AMS filament backup function ensures you don’t have to worry about running out of filament whilst you’re away. This guarantees a continuous and uninterrupted printing process, whilst avoiding filament waste and optimising energy efficiency.

If the filament encounters resistance at the nozzle, this may indicate that the filament has become tangled or the spool is blocked. In such cases, AMS detects this immediately and interrupts the printing process to prevent printing without filament. |
The AMS is hermetically sealed and contains a desiccant that absorbs moisture to protect the filament from humidity. A humidity sensor inside the AMS detects moisture levels and notifies the user when humidity levels rise and the desiccant needs replacing. |

Each AMS is equipped with 4 filament slots. You can install up to 4 AMS units simultaneously and thus use up to 16 colours to achieve impressive and unique prints. To enable 16-colour printing, you can connect 4 AMS units via the AMS hub.

Experience the future of 3D printing with the Bambu Lab AMS (Automatic Material System). All key print parameters are stored on a handy RFID chip. The 3D printer can read the print parameters automatically. No more fiddly adjustments – simply load your filament and start the print job. Enjoy convenient and time-saving operation without complicated manual settings.
