Description

Greentec PRO Carbon

The vision was a biomaterial that combines the best of both worlds – a biodegradable filament, GreenTEC Pro, made from renewable raw materials, and the strength of technical carbon composites, which is used for a wide variety of purposes in motorsport, aerospace & aerospace, as well as in medicine. The material is characterised by low specific weight, high temperature resistance and high stiffness.

- High load-bearing capacity

- Suitable for lightweight construction

- High thermal resistance 165°C (Vicat VST)

- UV stability comparable to e.g. ASA

- REACH & RoHS

- Hardened nozzle min. 0.5mm recommended

Properties

Filament diameter: 1.75 mm

Material quantity: 800 g

Print speed: 40–120 mm/s

Print temperature: 180–230°C

Heated bed temperature: 0–60°C

Maximum load

GreenTEC PRO Carbon is fibre-reinforced and therefore offers exceptional mechanical properties.

Elongation at break

The carbon fibres create a very hard and rigid material, ideal for high compressive loads.

Heat resistance

The fibre content improves the heat resistance (VICAT), as well as the HDT value of the material under load.

Difficulty level

Carbon is very abrasive. We therefore recommend a hardened nozzle. The carbon fibre stabilises the material, thereby reducing warping and stabilising the plastic filament during "bridging". It is therefore very suitable for beginners.

Visual quality

Small carbon fibres protrude at right angles to the printed surface, creating a very attractive matt finish and concealing layer lines. The printed object therefore looks very high-quality.

Layer adhesion

The challenge was to achieve good layer adhesion whilst maintaining the highest possible carbon content. We have achieved this goal through the use of special biological additives. We recommend a printing temperature of approx. 230–240°C. The material is printable from approx. 200°C, although layer adhesion suffers significantly at lower temperatures. We therefore recommend printing a ‘Heattower’ as a first step to find the ideal settings for your specific printer

Impact resistance

The fibre content makes the material very resilient and therefore highly resistant to impact.
